Neighbourhood day in Tirlemont is once again successful!
It has become an annual tradition for the Tirlemont site to open its doors for the local residents during the beet campaign. This year it once again generated a lot of interest and approximately 250 people paid us a visit on 17 October. The main purpose? To maintain and strengthen the constructive relationship we have with the local residents!
The visitors had to register beforehand, which resulted in 3 groups that visited the factory with a guide. They were welcomed at the T-center with a presentation by Jan Ingels, and afterwards the guided tour in the factory took place.
Amongst the large number of visitors were also a few pensioners, who enjoyed reflecting nostalgically on their time at Raffinerie Tirlemontoise. They were also pleasantly surprised by the continuous evolution of the factory in Tirlemont, and also by certain themes such as the constant attention for the environment, the transport charter, etc...
The visit ended with a sweet treat and a cup of coffee, after which all the local residents returned to their homes with a feeling of satisfaction and with a goodie bag containing some of our sugary specialities.
