Our relationship with our stakeholders

In order to position ourselves better and communicate why Raffinerie Tirlemontoise is unique, we have prepared a summary of our most important messages. These form part of the life blood within Raffinerie Tirlemontoise and create a clear picture of who we are and what we do. In order to ensure that we communicate these messages consistently and powerfully, we have interpreted them in a number of pictograms.
Because a picture says so much more than a thousand words.

We have faith in our productsEvery member of staff at Raffinerie Tirlemontoise does their bit towards ensuring that we manufacture and market high-quality products.

We fortify our agro relationsSugar beet is the most important raw material in the manufacturing process of all our products.  This is why it is of the utmost importance that we create and maintain relationships of mutual trust with our planters.

We invest in research and developmentWe rely on research and optimised operating techniques to guarantee the continuity of our activities.  This is why we invest constantly in the intelligent use of instruments that improve our yield.

We optimize our logisticsStorage and transport of raw material is one of our key activities: 140,000 shipments are required per campaign.  This is why we make a priority of optimising logistics and minimising the potential impact for local residents.

We support our customersIt is important that our clients have a constant supply of the right, high-quality sugar, and that we deliver this within the agreed deadlines.  This demands considerable logistical follow-up and in order to be assured of satisfied clients, we invest in this aspect day in and day out.

We stand for sustainabilityWe have been working towards a sustainable future for 175 years by basing ourselves on three main aspects: our economic impact, ecology-based investments and added value to society.

We respect our communitiesBy communities we mean the districts and residents surrounding our different branches.  In order to maintain good relations we focus on a number of different issues: noise, odours, transport, water, flora and fauna.
